KOHTA YAMAMOTO is a Japanese composer and arranger active across a wide range of fields, including music production for visual works such as anime, dramas, films, games, and commercials, as well as songwriting and arranging for artists. Beginning his career in earnest in 2015, he has earned high acclaim for his dynamic musical style, which fuses grand orchestration with rock and electronic sounds.
He does more than depict a work’s world and its characters’ emotions through music—he adds further appeal to the work itself, and his score production, grounded in meticulous storytelling, has drawn attention both in Japan and abroad. His representative works include TOUGEN ANKI, Chained Soldier, Attack on Titan: The Final Season, the Kingdom series, and The Seven Deadly Sins series, and he has handled the music for many well-known productions.
In addition to scoring, he has also composed and arranged numerous vocal tracks, providing songs to popular content such as Fate/Grand Order, and producing theme songs and in-scene songs for anime.
In recent years he has also launched a vocal project under his own name, releasing works that blend the grand sound he cultivated as a score composer with his own artistry. Continuing his creative work across genre boundaries, he is raising his profile at home and abroad as one of the composers representing Japan's screen-music scene.
